Haregu Nemariam, founder/principal engineer of the firm, is licensed as a Professional Engineer in Oregon and Washington, and has more than 25 years of transportation engineering and management experience.

Prior to establishing the business in August of 2010, Haregu was employed by, CH2M HILL, Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), as well as the cities of Concord and Los Angeles in California.

In 2015, Nemariam Engineers & Associates received the Minority Business Firm of the Year Award from Business Diversity Institute during Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week.
